Makes sight-reading rhythms more transparent. For all instruments and vocalists! Improving the ability to read and play rhythms fluently and accurately seems to be more difficult than learning which pitch (key) is to be played. Because of that difficulty, rhythm patterns are learned without reference to pitch in Rhythm Reading - Books 1 and 2.
Musicians who can easily sight read rhythms can do so because they know how various rhythmic combinations "feel". In other words, they have learned how a rhythm sounds before it is played. Every teacher, student and musician knows that unfamiliar music becomes easier to learn as soon as it is heard for the first time. Hearing the rhythm of the unfamiliar tune would certainly account for much of their increased ability to learn the new music.
A beginning musician can develop the desired "fluency" by playing AND listening to many of the possible combinations. Much of the learning experience involves analysis. The analysis can be verbal (counting) or written.
132 different exercises. 46 pages of instruction and writing - 22 pages of playing exercises. Loose leaf format - 68 pages and two CD's

Thirty 4" x 6" cards covering the keyboard AND lines and spaces on the Grand Staff. Five octaves from two ledger lines above the Treble Staff to two ledger lines below the Bass Staff - 30 total Lines and Spaces.
Based on the now accepted MusicMaster™ Landmark System. No more problems associated with "All - Cows - Eat -Grass", etc.! The front of each card shows one of the notes on the Treble or Bass staff. The back of each card shows a keyboard with the correct answer and the location of that note's Landmark.
The cards can be "flashed" by a non-musical parent or child. Included are a booklet explaining the benefits and logic of the MusicMaster™ Landmark system, along with several drill cards with activities and ways to learn the notes.
